• Frank McGurrin, OBE
  
  Biography
  Frank started his nursing career in mental health and held a variety of positions before becoming Director of Nursing at the Mayday Hospital . Latterly Frank had responsibility for the day to day management of the hospital, deputising for the Chief Executive in his absence and was closely involved with the strategic planning of acute healthcare services at Mayday. Frank was also involved with the annual business planning with the healthcare commissioners. He had responsibility for the management of all nurses and worked closely with the South West London Confederation and training providers to ensure adequate training arrangements in place for nursing staff. Frank was instrumental in ensuring that the Trust met its financial and service targets including waiting times for out patient, elective and A+E activity. Frank also led the Trust through significant clinical developments in paediatric day surgery, urology and gastroenterology.
